Why Might the Other Person Not Hear Me During a Call?

If the other person can't hear you during a call on the Texting App, here are some possible reasons and troubleshooting steps:

  • Check Your Internet Connection:
The Texting App uses VoIP technology, so a weak or unstable internet connection can cause audio issues. Ensure you have a strong Wi-Fi signal or sufficient mobile data allowance.

  • Restart the App and Device:
Temporary glitches can often be resolved by restarting the app or rebooting your device.

  • Clean the Microphone:
Dust or debris in the microphone opening might affect sound clarity. Gently clean it with a soft brush or compressed air.

  • Verify Device Settings:
Ensure no other apps are using the microphone, such as voice recorders or music apps, which might block the Texting App's access.

  • Microphone Permissions:
Check that microphone access is enabled for the Texting App:

  • Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone and toggle it on for the Texting App.

Additional Tips:

  • Try using a headset or Bluetooth device to see if the issue is with your phone's microphone.

  • Test the microphone using another app to ensure it's functioning properly.
