When you first install the Texting App, you may receive a prompt asking for permission to access your contacts. Granting this permission allows the app to sync with the contacts saved on your phone, making it easier to find and contact people you already know.
However, granting access to your contacts is entirely optional. You can still use the Texting App even if you choose not to allow contact access.
Managing Contact Access
If you want to control whether your phone's contacts appear in the Texting App, follow these steps:
Open the Settings app on your device.
Scroll down and locate Texting App in the list of apps, then tap on it.
Find the Contacts option and toggle it ON or OFF to allow or restrict access to your phone’s contacts.
This gives you the flexibility to manage your privacy and control how your contacts are displayed within the app.
