How do I add new contacts to my Texting App address book?

Method 1: Using the Dialpad

  1. Open the Texting App .

  2. Tap the "Dialpad" icon at the bottom of the screen.

  3. Enter the desired contact's phone number.

  4. Below the number, tap "Add to Contacts."

  5. Choose "Create New Contact" or "Add to Existing Contact" and enter their name, number, and any other information you'd like to save.

  6. Tap "Done" to save the contact.

Method 2: Using the Recent Screen

  1. Open the Texting App and tap the "Recent" icon at the bottom.

  2. In the Recents screen, find the number you dialed.

  3. When you see the number in your chat list, swipe left on the specific number, tap on "More," and then tap "Add to Contacts."

  4. Choose "Create New Contact" or "Add to Existing Contact" and enter their name, number, and any other information you'd like to save.

Method 3: Using the Messages Screen

  1. Open the Texting App and tap the "Inbox" icon at the bottom.

  2. Tap the "New Message" icon in the top right corner.

  3. Enter the contact's phone number in the "To" field.

  4. After messaging the person, you'll see the number in your chat list. Swipe left on the specific number, tap on "More," and then tap "Add to Contacts."

  5. Choose "Create New Contact" or "Add to Existing Contact" and enter their name, number, and any other information you'd like to save.

  6. Add a photo or emoji from your gallery (optional).

  7. Tap "Done" to save the contact.

Tips: If you already have the contact's information saved in your phone's main contact list, you can usually search for them directly within the Texting App by name or number.
